After many hours of research, writing, and PRACTICING speeches till we were all SICK of it, the kids did an outstanding job at our annual Early American Wax Museum!
Here are the many phases of practicing including: ear-muffing to self a minimum of 5 x's a day, practicing with a friend, "speed speeching" by rotating people and waking up all at the same time to practice, standing "speed speeching", and finally, dress rehearsal in front of the entire class.

We had a myriad of characters that we have studied throughout early American history posed throughout our halls, awoken by buttons on their hands. The speeches were well memorized, content strong, and well presented. Costumes were fabulous and students really put a lot of thought into their props and portrayals. Adding to these our classroom "antiques" we recreated quite a museum in the hallway. Overall, I am SO proud of their hard work and bravery in sharing their learning with our whole school!
